Welcome to another year of DavieLiFE! We are excited to bring the community this special publication and want to reiterate that it would not be possible with our loyal supporters and readers.
This issue is full of great content but one thing that stands out to me–there is so much going on in Davie County! It is great to see annual events resuming, festivals being scheduled and life getting back to a place that seems a bit more normal. We hope that you will set aside some time to take in the pages of this issue and get involved in our community as there are tons of opportunities.
We have included a high level overview of 22 Things in 2022 that we hope you’ll file away for reference. It includes things to do and dates to remember throughout the year. As we compiled the list, we quickly realized that paring the list to only 22 items was harder than expected–again, there is so much happening in our community! We encourage you to follow us on Facebook and Instagram where we post about other “things”–we do our best to keep you aware of things happening from Bermuda Run to Farmington to Mocksville to Cooleemee!
Like many of you, I am hopeful that 2022 will be a year of positives. Yes, the world may have gotten off to a rocky start, but never underestimate the power of prayer–if you’re like me, I remind myself that He is in control and has a plan for us all.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
