Raise your hand if you’re looking forward to summertime? I know I am and I would almost bet that many of you are as well. Summer is always one of my favorite times–things seem less hectic, there is more time to spend with family and of course, the options of fun things to do always increase. I’m thankful to live in a place where I can take my foot off the pedal for a bit and just enjoy all that I have been blessed with.
In this issue, we’re encouraging you to get out and enjoy some #DavieDestinations and we’re even giving you suggestions on what those destinations can look like. We’re also hoping that you’ll share some photos of you enjoying these #DavieDestinations (either by email or on social media)–we love seeing Davie County through the eyes of others and pictures are just the way to do that! Use the hashtag #DavieDestinations and before our next issue (which will be available in early fall), we’ll award four people $50 for sharing. It’s super easy and such a great way to photograph memories!
If you’re like me, the heat of summer makes me less inclined to have hot meals. We’ve compiled several unique summer salad and dressing recipes and scattered them throughout the magazine for you to enjoy. Test them out and let us know what you think.
Again, I’m thankful for the opportunity to slow down, have a bit more time with my family and do some things that will make this summer one to remember. I hope you will take some time for yourself and enjoy what I’m sure will be a great Davie County summer!!!
Special thanks to Kathy Miller of One Shot Photography for providing us with her unique photography style featured on this issue’s cover.
